iMessage and FaceTime behind a Firewall

If you have a bunch of Apple devices behind a firewall.  You’ve probably noticed that people are complaining that they can’t send iMessages or place/receive FaceTime calls.   You’ll need to open up a few ports to allow this activity.

Facetime

  • TCP 80
  • TCP 443
  • UDP 3478 – 3497
  • TCP 5223
  • UDP 16384 – 16387
  • UDP 16393 – 16402

iMessage

  • TCP 80
  • TCP 443
  • TCP 5223
