There’s no need to download an FTP server with OS X El Capitan. Apple has embedded an FTP server than you can turn on easily!
sudo -s launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist
sudo -s launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ftp.plist
P.S. FTP is insecure, but sometimes you can’t avoid it!
